What is the End of Watch Memorial Ruck?

The End of Watch Memorial Ruck is an annual event to honor the memory of the men and women in blue who made the ultimate sacrifice. Each year, we organize to ruck one mile and carry one pound for every officer who lost their life in the line of duty.

In 2018, we marched 134 miles and carried 134 pounds.

This year, we will march 150 miles and carry 150 pounds.

What is included in my registration?

Athlete registration includes:

  • Reserve your participation in your specific leg,

  • Commemorative athletic shirt ($25 value),

  • Commemorative challenge coin ($15 value),

  • Commemorative Velcro patch ($15 value),

  • Drinks/Snacks during event.

When is the End of Watch Memorial Ruck?

The event will begin May 16, 2019 and will end May 18, 2019. The event will span approximately 54 hours.

Where is the End of Watch Memorial Ruck?

The 2019 End of Watch Memorial Ruck will be in Santa Rosa County, Florida and will traverse 150 miles around the county.

Where does the money raised go?

The funds we raise through our events and partnerships go to help first responders, their families in times of crisis, and organizations who share our mission. The 2019 End of Watch Foundation will benefit our partner: the First Judicial Circuit Law Enforcement Association (FJCLEA).

How can I volunteer?

Without volunteers, we could not make this event happen. The Annual End of Watch Memorial Ruck offers a number of volunteer opportunities.

Escort Drivers

Escort drivers provide support and assistance to the athletes as they are en route during the event.

Parking Attendants

Assist with parking at the Finish Line Ceremony on May 18.

General Volunteer

If you are interested in helping where help is needed and don’t necessarily care what you are specifically asked to do, we can use your help!

Registration Attendants

Assist with checking athletes in and delivering their athlete packs to them.

Promotional Assistant

Speak to clubs and organizations about the EOWMR.
